follow these clear care instructions which are designed to enable you to get fabulous hair days from your silk rollers for years and years to come!

But Wait!!

Before we get into the guidelines, it’s important to note that the reason our Mulberry Silk Rollers come with special care instructions is because, unlike many other ‘silk’ hair rollers, ours are made from real silk produced from mulberry silkworms. Specifically, 22 momme, grade 6A silk.

1. Watch out for hair products.

After using your Silk Rollers, make sure to remove them from your hair before applying hairspray or any other hair care products. This step is crucial as stains from hair care products are the main culprits of damage. If you do happen to mess on the silk or its simply just time to give them a wash, follow the guidelines below.

2. Washing and Drying

Guess what? You don’t need to head all the way to the dry cleaners to care for your Silk curlers, all you need is access to some cold water and a good pair of hands! Because the silk we use is on the luxurious end of the spectrum, we recommend handwashing in cold water only. Simply submerge the silk and add gentle laundry soap. Make sure to gently agitate the silk with your hands rather than rubbing or scrubbing. Don’t forget to rinse all the soap off before drying.

When it comes to drying your curlers or scrunchies, gentleness is key. And under no circumstances should you ever wring them out or use a dryer for them! Simply roll them in white towels to blot or lay them down on top of the towels and blot down on them with white sheets. And leave to air dry.

3.Other Care Tips

After washing and drying, your silk rollers may look a bit creased. It is important to note though that these creases will smoothen out over the following day.
Once you’ve cleaned and cared for your Mulberry Silk Rollers, the final step is to store them in preparation for the next time you use them.
And there you have it, everything you need to know about caring for your Mulberry Silk Rollers!
While it may seem like a bit of an effort at times, we think it’s a small price to pay for a product that, when cared for correctly, can deliver breathtaking curls for years to come.
